Discover a different side of Vieques beneath the surface at Punta Arenas. This small-group snorkeling experience takes you from the island’s iconic Ceiba Tree to a beach where coral and marine life can be found close to shore.

Spend approximately 45–60 minutes in the water, exploring the reef and watching for tropical fish and sea turtles in their natural habitat. With plenty to discover in a relatively small area, there’s time to slow down and notice the details—from fish weaving around coral to a turtle moving through the seagrass.

Snorkeling equipment and flotation gear are provided, and photos and videos help capture the experience. After your swim, enjoy water and snacks before the return trip. It’s a memorable way for couples, families and curious travelers to explore Vieques’ marine environment.

What to Expect

Meet at the Ceiba Tree before heading to Punta Arenas. Travel between the meeting point and the beach takes approximately 45 minutes round trip.

At the beach, you’ll receive a mask, snorkel, fins and flotation gear before entering the water. The snorkeling portion lasts approximately 45–60 minutes, with reef habitat close to shore and opportunities to spot tropical fish, coral and sea turtles. Photos and videos are taken during the experience, followed by water and snacks after your swim.
